Zip Codes for attractions?
I have searched all over, but I think I must be missing something?!
I want to use my phone for SatNav and want to preload all the main parks etc before we go. I could visit each places website, but I am guessing this has already been done and a list made somewhere? |

I think you'd need the full address - US zip codes don't work like our postcode system - a zip code over there usually covers a massive area, rather than just a street.

Zip codes cover a huge area, much larger than post codes.
Better to put in street names & numbers. |

Zip codes don't work in the same way that postcodes do as they cover a wide area rather than a street, so I don't think it's the best way to do it. Haven't programmed a sat nav for the US, so not sure of the best way but hopefully someone who has will be able to help.

I've got an app called HERE maps, which has allowed me to bookmark a lot of things. It works offline so you don't need a data connection to use - it relies on GPS. I've tried it out at home with success so hopefully it will work with the Florida map that I've downloaded.
The search is quite good too offline from what I can tell. I like that it orders results by location that the map is at (rather than current GPS location). If you were to browse Tampa, and search for a restaurant, it won't bring up results in Orlando. I've bookmarked a lot of places already. Hopefully the app is going to work, else that first trip to the hotel from MCO is going to be a bit tense! |

Rather than zip codes can you not just search points of interest?

We've never used a satnav in Florida so can't give any advice on zipcodes but all I would say as you are first timers is that the attractions are very well signposted.
Don't know where you are staying but this photo is on US192 (the main east-west highway through Kissimmee) as you approach World Drive from the east Mick

Fantastic advice. Thank you for taking the time.
We are coming into Sanford and staying at The Regal Oaks, near Old Town. I see what you mean about the signposting. I guess I just get used to SatNav in the UK, and like its ease. Also, for getting to the villa on the first day, and each night it just seems easier. |

It's probably 99% certain that you'll approach WDW under that sign if you go straight there from Regal Oaks
Once you're on Disney property all the road signs change to "corporate" colours Mick
