Will I get there
I think I'm about to turn grey overnight.
This time last year I had my flights book at £550pp x 5 plus car hire for £3250. I've been scouring every site for flights anytime in August for weeks now, but I am overwhelmed at the horrendous prices for flights and seemingly no let up in these prices, which price us out for a trip this year. I realise that I missed the sales around December, when so many dibbers bagged such cheap trips, but the trip was not on the cards then. Have a couple of Villas still available to book in August. Seems that all these online TA's that advertise wonderful cheap flights - call us for these special deals- I've called so many and the flights just do not exist, which makes the whole process so disheartening. There are still so many of us searching for these elusive flights in the school holidays but it seems no sales are anywhere near forthcoming. I am really hoping that the airlines see a drop in their bookings as the prices are so high and generate a sale, soon, very very soon. |

Im hoping too. Although not really intending a trip this year, I do keep looking and if I see some cheap flights for school summer hols I know I will grab them... need to go back. Mind you the nearer it gets the more Im thinking the chance of finding a reasonably priced villa will be impossible so may have to accept maybe next year

Do you have the flexibility to have a week in July/September? this should bring flight price down.

Flights have been consistently high for about 3 months now, not sure why! But £550 was easily do-able Jan, might just be a case of holding your nerve

If you can hold your nerve, what about a last minute deal through sites such as Holiday hypermarket?

I highly doubt you're going to find direct flights with your budget. If you'd go indirect and into Miami, you can book 5 for £2,686.

Thanks, not looking for direct flights, we actually prefer indirect as like the break in a long flight. Thanks for the info from google flights.

Where are you flying from and are you willing to travel to another airport, if so how far? What is your budget per person?
