I've not really been following as I had to dash out and pick up some dollars, 3 SIMs etc but Mrs Bozza said she heard it was due from lunchtime on Saturday, and we fly at 10.

We are on the 12.30 flight so that’s when the wind is due at its peak

Wow a lovely short countdown.
We fly into Tampa on Friday. Booked our flights back in September and prices were higher than they’d been earlier in the year. Unfortunately I couldn’t book earlier as I was waiting on confirmation of my new part time days. I missed the really cheap flights of sub £300pp 😞 Interested to know what kind of prices you were finding booking so late. The flights look to be really busy. |

We paid about £400pp - indirect, no bags and no seats.
I'd been monitoring flights for a while and for Saturday-Saturday flights with decent changes it had been generally in the £550 - £600 ballpark, which I wasn't prepared to pay for what is supposed to be a cheapie week away. Last year we paid about £300 for very similar flights but into MCO rather than Tampa. I was hesitant last year - just a week, indirect flights, just hand luggage, jet lag on the return etc but we had such a wonderful chilled week that I was keen to do the same again if I could get flights for a reasonable enough price. |

I've just booked the Hilton at LHR for Friday night, so my packing will commence around 3:30pm Friday afternoon, so we can leave around 4!
