LHR to LGW transfer - advice needed please

Hi - We’re flying out of LGW but back into LHR so dropping the car off at Heathrow before transferring to Gatwick for an overnight stay before flying out. I’ve researched the possible transfers but am hitting a small snag as we are not sure when we will get to Heathrow. Possibly the most flexible transfer is by coach (booking when we get there) but would prefer a taxi transfer (£65 with Blackberry cars). Looking for advice on any options. Thanks

The one time we did this I dropped the family at the LGW hotel and then I drove to Heathrow, parked up and then got a National Express coach back to Gatwick - I just walked up and paid on the spot from what I recall.

(I may also have bought a few cans of M&S gin and tonic to keep me hydrated on the long coach journey)

Last year, due to a storm in Orlando, we had to change flight and arrived back at Gatwick and our car was in Heathrow. We just got an Uber..it was £42 which we thought was a great price for the 4 of us and all our luggage x
