The thing is people on here, including myself are "Disney junkies",that's why we can spend all day on this forum, its a bit like smoking ,a habit or addiction that's hard to break no matter how much we would like to, so telling people "if they don't like it choose somewhere else really doesn't help!. .People are rightly fed up with these "Disney greedy changes. and will eventually be able to walk away. This forum is here for Disney fans to be able to speak freely with one another!

how would you rate your experience with DME ?

how long did it take from the moment you collected your luggage to the moment the DME dropped you off at OKW ? (and did you call at other resorts along the way)

Wow.

I wonder why it's this bad? Is this the start of the Christmas crowds?

Admittedly, the last time we visited was 2016 so 3 years ago. It was pretty quiet when we arrived and it was around Easter time. There was a small queue of a few people ahead of us being checked in at one desk but absolutely nothing at all like the photo above.

I'm certainly not stopping people speaking freely with one another. I don't think anyone is? In fact, I welcome information like this thread provides, because it helps people to manage their expectations. When I next go, I'll now know that there's a chance they'll be an hour's wait and long queues for DME and, if I want, I can plan accordingly.

Also, I wasn't saying people shouldn't go to Disney. I was saying that if people do actually find a 1 hour queue unacceptable and 1 hour queues for DME now happen fairly often then obviously they'll want to find an alternative method of getting to their resort (taxi, uber, bus, hire car, whatever). Otherwise they're going to be stuck at the airport. Either they accept it and join the queue or they don't accept it, complain to Disney and do something different.

Finally, going to Disney is not an addiction like smoking or alcohol. People here on the DIBB are not truly seriously addicted to Disney. They just really like to visit. It isn't me that's suggesting people should stop enjoying Disney - quite the opposite!

... I am not pointing my finger directly at you (if you dont like it go somewhere else),although you clearly suggest that in your roundabout way!..and yes for many Disney is an addiction (it has been for me)..just like you are addicted to this forum!

The odd thing is that, using the term "addiction" has a negative meaning

an addict, when they admit they're addicts, it means they have become aware that the object of their addiction does them more harm than they do them good. And they're on the path of rehabilitation, by rejecting and kicking this habit.

by using the term "addiction" and if you consider people on here have an addiction to disney's, you are explicitely saying that disney is bad for us Dibbers ... in a sense, you don't realise that you're saying that, people on here, are "addicts" and should stop going for their own good, because they currently can't help going, like they can't help lighting a cigarette or having one too many

that's called shooting oneself in the foot.

In a hypothetical setting, what would happen if you plan on taking DME to a resort, check your bags with the DME tags, etc.

Arrive to a mass backlog and decide to just suck it up and Uber to the resort instead.

Would your bags still make it to the resort as planned? Or does the DME system flag bags corresponding to guests who have not checked in at the buses?

UK citizens cannot use the ME bag drop system ,we have to carry our luggage on..
