I’m not sure William or even Harry saw much of Charles and Camilla once they grew up .. Official ceremonies apart they are rarely pictured together.

Also on that ridiculous website they’d originally claimed to be internationally protected people (means nothing, made up phrase ) and entitled to security.

They have been staying in a house which is under a shell company to protect the owner. Not unusual for the rich. I am sure as a couple they have many wealthy friends who would be willing to help them. It's not like they have announced they will be living there and have spent millions buying it, and running it. Privacy was rightly probably much higher on their agenda.

If it is on Vancouver Island then you need some way to cross the water. Small sea planes are quite common there and somewhat more private than getting one of the ferries, which they are probably prohibited to do.

I don't see any of this as unusual for their current position.

The press are as usual just blowing things out of proportion and people are just taking it at face value.

The British public can be very judgemental with the Royal Family with only 10% of the bigger picture.

The story will be very different in 12 months when people have far more of the truth to judge against.

The ferry to Vancouver Island is pleasant enough but slow. A lot of people who have to work on the island but live in Vancouver or vice versa take those sea planes almost as we would take busses.
I’ve taken both. My son lives in Vancouver but has a home on the island.

OK does this mean Meghan Markle was hoping to claim lifelong diplomatic status? I would seriously question her entitlement to that.

The difference to the people working on Vancouver Island is that those people are not preaching to everyone else. Taking seaplanes and living in a mansion which based on size takes around $10000 a year just to heat with a huge carbon footprint.

Quite honestly the next headline will be “bullying media and social media destroy Prince Harry”
If I were him I’d never come back. That is what will break the Queen’s heart not him wanting to step down as a full time royal.
It is interesting that the venom thrown at Meghan on social media is almost exclusively female . It’s like we are seeing the hysteria we saw at Diana’s death all over again , except in a different form.
