Not Feeling It

We fly to Gatwick tomorrow and on to Orlando on Tuesday (hopefully).
I'm really not feeling it at all.
Hopefully when we get off the ground I'll be a bit more excited.

Maybe it's all the build up but I read your post and got butterflies! I bet once you're in the air it'll become more real.
Mine only really gets into overdrive once we land in the US.

I’m always really excited leading up to the holiday, but the day before and until I get there I’m a little anxious... maybe because I don’t like flying too much, I know the journey is long and tiring and immigration is always hit and miss, but once I am through that and see the fountain, I’m super happy and excited again! xx

I'm excited up to a few weeks then start to feel like it wouldn't bother me of we couldn't go. Guilt travelling to airport hotel but then I start to feel excited on the day.

I feel the same about our upcoming holiday to Vegas. Not sure if it’s because it’s such a party town or because it’s not going to be hot. Hoping to feel different by the time we go.

This is me. Even though I’ve been going to Fla for 20+ years I still have this feeling of doubt from about 2 weeks beforehand !

I only start feeling excited after I’ve done twilight check-in and got rid of my cases. Then it’s a good dinner, couple of gin & tonics and overnight at an airport hotel.

We were due to go on 21st February, but had to cancel as I developed a health problem in October (as our annual policy expired) which hasn't been identified and no one will insure me. To be honest, I'm not that sorry as I wasn't feeling it either. Once I can get insurance, we're going to try some new places.

Hopefully once you get there, the excitement will kick in!

I’m always the same, I think it’s just nerves! I love the months leading up to it all the planning etc then when it comes to the day I actually feel like I could just stay at home!

I always look forward to our holidays so much but then a couple of days before I start to feel overwhelmed and nervous.
It's very rare that I can get the day before off so I'm always rushing around trying to get things like taking the dog to the sitter and cats to the cattery done amongst other things.
I only relax when we're through security and in the lounge with a nice glass of wine 🍷🍷

I’m sure you’ll feel better about it when you get on the plane, it is nerve racking all the build up, so you can end up overwhelmed 😢take a deep breath & relax 🙌you’re going to the BEST place there is 🇺🇸🙌
