Star Wars Fireworks- how early do you need to get there?

We missed this on our last visit due to bad weather so hoping to fit them in on our next visit. Can anyone tell me how long before the show starts do you need to arrive to grab a decent spot? Considered the dessert party but only hubby is a Star wars fan and would rather do the Magic Kingdom one. Thanks

An hour or so.

However, I've had my best spot arriving about 5 minutes before the start when Disney cast members get everyone back on their feet and shuffling together, leaving a load of space for latecomers to slot in to!

If you mean the Star Wars spectacular this is ending soon anyways. However it is held in the space in front of Grauman's so you could rock up 15 minutes before and still get a good view, heck we even watched it from the gate one night!

Is this definitely ending? I know the A Galaxy, Far, Far Away show is ending, hadn’t heard about the fireworks?

We are going in May and have been watching for times to go up on Disney Calender but haven't seen antyhing
