I spend tired time at Typhoon Lagoon, splashing around in the pools and floating around the lazy river. A circuit of the lazy river takes half an hour and I happily do 3 or 4 circuits in one go. I don't go on slides there.

We don’t really have rest days (have never been for 3 weeks though) but when everyone’s tired we head to BB or TL and can spend hours just going round the lazy river... very relaxing.
Also Wild Florida is a lovely relaxing day (or half day) we did the airboat ride there which was good fun. Edited at 10:00 AM. |

Exactly the same. We have our ‘down days’ before and after our vacation. I am paying far too much to take a day off and we have never had one in 9 visits! Seaworld is where we go when flagging. When we used to visit Disney, it was Typhoon lagoon.

I think the rest days are required to fully enjoy the parks and entertainment to their maximum.
West Coast beaches are beautiful, east coast are no where near as nice, go to a state park, someone mentioned a winery, like someone else said, a good break is to go to a water park and chill by the water, just venture futher out. Have you not thought about the Keys? |

All great suggestions, thanks! Rest days are a must.
We did the keys last time and it was beautiful. We broke the 6 hour drive up by spending a night in key largo but don’t fancy it this year. My daughter loves nature so wild Florida might be a shout. Thanks everyone! |

Reading with interest as in same boat - here now and flagging a little. Been lots of times before with the family but first time as a couple. Parks just feeling too busy and hot and the roads from where we are staying in davenport seem so much busier this time - i4 is a permanent jam. Lazy morning today at pool and planning Epcot dinner and FP for test track later.

I4 is just a car park these days. We hired a car with great navigation (aptly its a Lincoln Navigator) and managed to skip some of it but for the most part you just need to sit in it.
Anyway, we ended up in the mall today, so disregard the previous statement of me having more money than I thought. That didn’t last long! |
