Kennedy Space Centre- trip from Animal Kingdom Lodge
Hi,
We will be staying at AKL next August and plan on visiting Kennedy Space Centre. We won't be hiring a car and I was wondering if anyone could recommend any day trips which included the transportation and whether they would collect/drop off at out hotel? Thank You. |

You'll be able to get tickets that include transportation to KSC from the likes of ATD or other ticket sellers (roughly £80 per adult from memory for this years prices as an indication) - usually have various pickup points near the hotels, tourist parts etc...
(Perhaps this gives a reason to perhaps hire a car for a day or two 😀

Thank you. My hubby isn't keen on driving and last time we just used a Lyft to go to Universal so really wasn't worth the cost. I think we'll stick to the coach trip .

We never hire a car and have done tons of trips to KSC, Gatorland, Wild Florida etc from onsite.
We always use Grayline. They do a KSC tour either on it's own, or with an airboat ride included if you fancy that. Their hotel pick-up points in the Disney area are either The Swan or All Star Music, so you have a number of options:
We have done the last two options, it all depends on what is best for you. Grayline are really nice though, you can ring them whilst over there to confirm, and I've emailed them before with any queries, and they are quick to get back to me (accounting for the time difference of course!)

I know you said you weren't keen but often you can get a car for the day or 2 for less than the transport costs. Especially if there are 3 or 4 of you. For example KSC is £35 for an adult on Orlando attraction tickets £75 with transport. DFCH for a car from 08:00 to 17:00 the following day you can get a choice for £60-80. Tolls and parking just under $20. So if booking for three or more you could break even or save a little plus have a car for almost two days to have flexibility of travel times and maybe do something else that is offsite shopping etc. The route really couldn't be easier too. We stay on 192 next to Target and it is only 4 turns to KSC from there.
