Not sure if I’d want to stay at the moment. I’m sure it will be lovely when done though.

I agree, no monorail and we have stayed before just after the last refurb re DVC transfer. I am a bit puzzled why the lobby needs work again?
We like watching PCDev too!

I wondered if it was just because the hotel is so empty they deemed it a good time...

The GCH is the heart of the Poly and it does make me a little sad to see this (I know it will be better later... )

I think I remember ages ago you posted about an upcoming Poly stay YT? Although that’s probably gone by the wayside anyway you wouldn’t get the full experience.

That was my Easter stay that I swapped to VGF when I heard about this.

VGF now cancelled as I can’t see our Easter trip coming off.

Summer I am confident of.

I remember when i booked the Poly for the first time a few years ago, it was my dream place to stay & i was super excited!..I remember someone on the Dibb referring to the Poly as a "cow shed! and i remember worrying and thinking that they probably had a one off bad experience..Well when we arrived i realized that Dibber was right!,all three of us checked out before we slept that first night and went back to the Beach Club!..So i think yes it needs a Major refurbish!

It’s obviously not like being in real Hawaii but I love it for a hokey Disney version of it

I love the lobby as it is, not quite sure what they're going to do to it? Looking forward to seeing it when it's finished though. All being well I'll be there in August 🤞🏼
