I was proposed to on holiday, my OH planned to do it about 3/4 days in but couldn’t find the right moment so ended up doing it on the last day. I’m glad he did it on holiday it felt special and now Thailand will always have a special place in my heart although I think he was nervous of carrying the ring for that long!

However where or when you do it, it will still be amazing but I’d say do it on holiday! ☺️

I personally would hate to be proposed to on holiday so I would say do it before you go! Holidays are special enough without throwing an engagement in the mix too haha.

Defo on holiday.
Sunset on a beach?
Midnight stroll?
Champers with lunch?
Make it extra special. You always think back fondly so make it a memory.

Congratulations 💙

My Husband Proposed our 2nd night at WDW, 5 nights into our holiday. It was the best night of my life and the holiday was spent in the most amazing newly engaged bubble. I wouldn't have had it any other way. Loved celebrating with our families once home. (he was very stressed with transporting and hiding the ring though! )

If you were to propose the night before you leave for holiday you could always order just engaged passport covers for travelling with!?

Our daughter's partner Jon proposed to her on the hill above Neuschwanstein Castle, the fairy tale in Germany. They hired a camper van and travelled through Belgium, Nederlands, Germany, through Austria and Italy.

We knew that Jon was going to propose sometime during the trip but wasn't sure if it was going to be in Bruges or at the castle or in Verona, he choose the ideal place. If you don't know the castle check it out

The ring was in his rucksac all the time.

Have you thought about doing it on the plane on the way out? I know a few couples that have done this, I think if you find the right cabin crew they help out and get pretty excited about it to!

my wife would have had a fit if i did in such a public way & again if she isnt 100% she may fell pressured into saying yes with everyone watching...

personally i'd think long & hard about the location as well as the timing..

My DH wanted to propose during a trip to DLP but the ring didn't arrive on time.

The day we got home he got the ring and proposed in our bedroom. It was beautiful, private and perfect. DLP still reminds me of it though.
