Stopped watching Corrie when Kevin Webster came back . Emmerdale can be hit and miss, can't stand moaning Moira but I do like most of the other characters, I used to love the comedy bits between Paddy and Marlon but they seem to have stopped now.

Stopped watching months ago, after 40+ years of Corrie it just got too silly and boring .

We used to religiously watch Coronation Street and have watched for years. Stopped watching around the time the factory roof collapsed as just so many ridiculous story lines and haven’t watched it since

Totally agree.
My husband calls Maria ‘Maria Maneater’😂
The story lines are just crazy now. They are so unrealistic. I used to watch Corrie without fail. It’s a load of rubbish now and very sad it’s gone that way.

I do miss the old days of these soaps, but I wouldn’t want to go back to watching with the current storylines sadly
You can still watch the old Coronation Street and Emmerdale episodes on ITV 3 in the afternoon.

I stopped watching Corrie a few years ago. I also stopped watching Eastenders in January this year, we went on holiday and when we got back just didn’t bother. DH drives me mad, if we ever catch the beginning and ending if it for even thirty seconds he asks me to explain plot lines and new characters. He lives with me and knows I don’t watch it!

Only two things of note in modern soaps; no comedy and no decent writers!

depressonation street

Miserable - humour free storylines just like EastEnders. Stopped watching EastEnders over 15 years ago, I could happily dump coro. Wife still glued

Corrie and EastEnders remind me of the movie Hot Fuzz lots of murders and deaths but no one hears about it outside The square and street. It’s like they forget about most things after the turn of each year 😂
