Washer/dryer
Hi All
My daughter is hoping to get a washer/dryer soon, as much as she would prefer a separate washer and dryer she doesn't have the space. Any recommendations from anyone for a good model/make please? Thanks Sue.

I have the Haier washer dryer and it is very good. I have had others and found the washing did not dry properly it does in this machine.
It has a quick wash program starting at 15 minutes which I find great for gym kit and swimming gear on a daily basis. The quick wash function also has adjustable temp and spin speed too, as there is just myself and my husband most of our washing is done using this program. It is so good I brought my daughter one too. Edited at 10:42 AM. |

My SIL liked her AEG washer/dryer as her teens could "recycle" their work polos in very short wash/dry cycle. Can't remember if it was 30 or 45 mins. My mum bought one on her recommendation and liked it, but a few years later, when I was responsible for my folks' laundry, I found that the normal programmes on it were very long. For example, a load of towels or bedding took 6 and a half hours to wash & dry.

Mine is a Candy. Has a 15 min wash and then dries in about 2 1/2 hours.

I wouldn't bother personally. Just use an airer and get a better washing machine.
I have had 2 (rented property) and both were absolutely rubbish and cost a fortune. |

OP, I would like separates but don't have the space, I could not be without the washer dryer though as I don't want sopping wet clothes hanging around the house.
We have a SMEG, there is a quick wash of 15 minutes available but most washes are about 90 -120 minutes. The drying cycle is long, 2 hours 40 minutes and I would say things come out about 90-95% dry rather than completely dry as they would from a tumble dryer.
