14 day disney pass confusion

HI all

back to basics... we have 14-Day Ultimate Ticket (with Memory Maker) tickets

What does the memory maker bit mean we can actually do!

Also does this mean we also should collect wristbands (or do you need to stay on site for this) and if so how and if so why!

Told you they were basic Qs!

Thanks!

Memory Maker is awesome. It gives you all your digital Disney photos for free. That includes characters and rides. You just scan either your plastic park ticket or magic band after the ride or when a photo is taken, then they'll appear in your My Disney Experience account for 45 days to download.

You get magic bands free onsite, but you can still buy them if you're staying offsite (if you want one).

Make sure you also get the official photographers around the park to thake photos and link to to memory maker. They get downloaded the same day.

You don't need a magic band as your ticket will do so if off site don't worry, however if you go to the Disney Store at Premium Outlets they sell some there for about $5...

Up side of MB is that there are actual ride videos from ToT & 7DMT, without a MB you will only get pics & not the short video.

The following Guidebook page explains a bit about what Memory Maker is:

https://www.thedibb.co.uk/forums/Mem...er-p-1452.html

In summary, it allows you to download and keep any digital photos taken of you by Disney, either by the Disney photographers or on certain rides.

No. As you are staying offsite you will not get wristbands for free (Disney calls them "MagicBands") and so will not collect these.

However, you can buy MagicBands in the parks and Disney shops. The prices start from $13 (the decorated and limited edition ones cost more!).

There's a bit more info about MagicBands in the following link, although it's aimed more at those staying onsite at a Disney hotel:

Just to add once you have all these lovely photos do make sure you get them printed. I suggest getting a A4 hardback book printed is a great way to have them done. You can get offers on Groupon for these 100pages for around £10. You can get 1 or many photos per page depending on what you like.

Thanks everyone for all your comments - makes more sense now. Just a last cheeky question -is it worth say buying a magic band say just for one of the kids - if they are in all the photos anyway we will end up with family photos automatically? Or are the ride photos tailored by individual?

Thanks again

It will automatically take the ride photo of the person wearing the MagicBand. The people sat next to them in the same ride vehicle will also appear in the photo. So if you are all sat together then this works fine. However, if your family is split into different ride vehicles or different rows then some of your family may not appear in the photo.

Of course, the main problem will be which one of kids will you buy the MagicBand for? If you buy just one then there's a good chance the other kid(s) aren't going to be happy.
