What are the advantages of Virgin?

I know many prefer to book with virgin and I personally prefer to book package deals. Today I've had virgin call me to arrange sending me a quote. They've said that they have a deal with disney to pre-book packages and will confirm on the 19th (also confirmed that it is free ddp) that I have my booking.
She also said something about the perks of booking a virgin holiday to Disney and I wondered what these perks were and if any were worthwhile, which is why you chose virgin?

There are none really. I’d book with who ever was cheapest. At the end of the day it’s. Seat on a plane. And the hotel room /tickets/Dining is the same whoever you book with.

They might give you the V-Room (airport lounge) and used to be able to check your luggage in at Disney Springs before your flight home.
Can't think of any advantages other than that that other companies couldn't give you.
Play them off against each other, re: price, extras like gift cards and the like and get the best deal for you.

Lovely thank you! Just checking therevwasnt something I was missing! My plan is to do as you say, get quotes from as many as I can and then try to get the companies to give me their best price!

There are none really. Some get sucked in by the brand. And TBH, there are better carriers out there.
Ignore brand and go by price, convenience and flight times.

If you have kids the in flight entertainment is probably the best. Kids also get fun packs on boarding.

Virgin customer service imo is very good. We had friends stuck in Orlando when the big hurricane hit last year and they were brilliant.

I feel like there was quite a lot in their favour when we first went (21 years ago) but I feel they’ve lost ground over the last few years as their prices have stayed high (for the times we travel in the summer) and they haven’t offered a lot more to compete. They were always our go-to brand and we did fly with them last time, but we wouldn’t have paid over the odds to do so.

Virgin, used to be fantastic.
The problem is, they rely on brand name, big flash adverts, but haven't really changed over the last 20 years, while others have steadily got better and are cheaper.

The only things going for them are the entertainment, free drinks and the downtown Disney check-in.

But saying that, when we priced up our last trip, they were over a thousand pounds dearer than Thomas cook.
