BA flight 209 LHR - MIA delayed today.

Delayed again today. I'm on this flight Friday so trying to find out why. fingers crossed we won't have a delay.

Half an hour I can deal with.. 3 or 4 hours not so much!

1 more minute than you have to in a BA cattle transporter is too many

I know why, we were on the flight coming in from MIA on Tues which I guess would be going back out from Heathrow again. The plane had a faulty fuel valve, causing tonnes of fuel to be spilt on the tarmac, we had already been loaded at MIA had to wait in the heat for 2 hours whilst being served lukewarm tapwater, horrible experience watching the engineers strip the plane with fire engines on standby cleaning the mess.
Upon taxi (don't be alarmed at the next bit) screams from the back of the plane rippled through economy, with somebody stating a part had fallen off the plane, everybody panicked and shouted for the pilot to abort, it was the worst experience of my life and everybody thought we were goners once he put his foot down, it was awful like being in a movie. After levelling off the attendants came around to offer reassurance and the pilot confirmed the plane was perfect. Off course no part fell off, pilot suggested that excess fuel had built up that the engineer did not remove and the individual who started the chaos has seen the fuel pouring out, possibly with the movement of the flaps thinking the wing was falling to bits
