booked BA without baggage...help?

Booked cheap flights yestersay...

flight is with BA and the website is saying £40 per person - which is fine- but the return flght is not showing a price - it says 'Excess baggage cannot be purchased for this journey' - does this mean I need to pay on the return leg of the journey or is the £40 per person per bag the total cost of the flight? any ideas?

The return flight is with american airlines - not sure if that makes a difference but it is under the BA booking ref

We have to pay £40 per bag with the BA flight and $60 on return - does anyone know if we can pay it before we fly? (american airlines)

Booked with travelup.co.uk - any changes are via BA and they want £150 per person to change anything!

Will be fine

We’ve booked hand luggage only. I’m planning on paying for 1 case at the airport on the way back. It seems much cheaper than upgrading 3 of us on both legs.

You can usually cancel a flight within 24 hours with no fee.

Can you get your 6 digit confirmation number from Travel up? As soon as you have this you can log into manage my booking and pay to add bags. You will prob have to do this twice - once on BA website for outbound, and then on AA for your return. I've done this, but can't remember how I got hold of the AA confirmation number (which will be different, even though it's all on one booking). I'll have a think about it, or maybe another Dibber will come along with the answer.

You shouldn't have to pay anything to travel up as it doesn't really involve a "change" in your booking.
