Alamo 2019 question for Tom, Mick and other car hire experts
Wasn't going to Florida in 2019 then due to the great virgin reward flight availability for next year we now are.
Travelling 14th August to 1st September and see Alamo's peak season pricing finishes on the 15th August, has anyone found really good prices for next year or as we are starting at universal is there anywhere in the vicinity we could pick up an Alamo hire car on the 16th as on the sites I have looked at so far the price practically halves on the 16th

Hi. For Alamo you will have to walk down to the Four Points hotel on I Drive. Thats the nearest Alamo location.
Maybe a 15 min walk or an Uber ride. As usual prices are all over the place. I have to say for 1 driver Netflights have some keen prices for an Alamo car for that period. Plus all the other usual suspects. If you get a price let us know what it is plus dates and car size. I have already booked with Brits for a 4 week hire starting on the 17th Aug. They were the best when I booked but I show no loyalty and if others are cheaper I will ditch them.

Sorry but as usual I can't add anything to Tom's comprehensive reply. We only ever collect and return at MCO and, before 2008, from SFB. For my last two bookings DFCH have been the cheapest but I have in the past used both Alamo Brits and usrentacar. I have noticed over the last couple of months that people have been saying that Brits got a bit silly but over the weekend I've started to see Dibbers saying that they are back to being competitive - I'm sure that Tom has kept some recent records. I will do a bit more hunting as we do like a 7 seater for the extra space and currently on netflights it's about £1050 from the 14th but drops to just over £600 from the 16th, I will also speak to Andy as he came up with some great prices last year but unfortunately I had already booked by then

I’m going in July which is peak pricing for Alamo, and Andy is currently the cheapest I have found. Virgin and USrentacar are slightly more but Brits, Auto Europe, Net Flights are all silly prices.
