Car hire collection time?

I was just looking at my holiday details for our package with VH. Flight arrives approximately 5.15pm but it says car hire from 7.15pm. Last time we got lucky and were at the car within an hour of landing. Will I be ok to get the car early if we get lucky through immigration?

Absolutely no problem at all. MCO and the car desks are a 24/7 operation so they are used to planes being very late or early and the fact that it can take anything between 15 minutes and 2 hours to get through immigration.

Car hire is charged in 24 hours increments so just make sure that if you drive out at 18.00 just get it back by 17.59 - although according to Mr Morrow booking Alamo through VH you do get 2 hours grace in return time.

The only issue with car hire is an early pick up may have an impact on your return time i.e. If I get in on the first BA flight but depart on the second i.e. Pick,up the car at circa 4pm but don't need to check in for the way home till5pm some car hire will allow 30mins grace others will charge you a full day extra for late return

I actually got VH to change my times with Alamo but as Mr T said you get 1hr 59 mins leeway (in total) for early pickup/late drop off
