Bus to MK

Read somewhere that the bus to MK takes you right to the gate, so you don’t have to get monorail from TTC. Is this correct? If so when do they do bag check? Is there a special bag check for people arriving by bus?

Just curious more than anything

There are two types of scenario here.

If you get the bus from the TTC to the MK there is no bag check as you have already gone through it before boarding. They drop you in a different area of the bus terminus and you can get onto the path from the Contemporary.

Buses from the Resort Hotels drop at stops throughout the bus terminus and you get funnelled into a security area for the checks.

That's correct for onsite buses from resorts. None of the resort buses go via the TTC - they all go directly to the parks. Then security/bag check is done at the park entrance along with everyone else arriving who hasn't already cleared security/bag check elsewhere.
