I usually park on the long stay car parks but only have the option of jetparks now. Any ideas ?
Tripadvisor don't paint a great picture of the jetparks but thanks for the recommendations of them as i seem to have no alternative.

I've used Jetparks in the past and they're OK. It's a similar setup to the long stay car parks. You drive around until you find a space, park the car, get the luggage out and hope the nearest bus stop isn't too far away You then wait for the bus to take you to the terminal. The buses have to go to each of the terminals and the last time I used them the order was T3, T1, T2. This was from Jetparks 3 which is the opposite side of the runway to the terminals. You do need to make sure you've plenty of time before check-in time as it always seemed to take us longer than expected from parking the car to arriving at the terminal.
PS: whatever the weather the car always gets very, very dirty just sitting the Jetparks car park for two weeks!

Stuck in the Tower of Terror

We have used Jet Parks (as others have replied) and touch wood, never had any issues. We have booked again for this year and managed to get good deal on the Radisson in T2 as well.
I had a bit of a panic on last time we entered the car park and was there were no spaces available... but driving around a few times and spotted loads of spaces in another area that was probably opened when other sections get full. We have used hotel and parking before, however I couldn't find one available that didn't want to keep my keys. I have never personally had any issues, however there have been some horror stories in the last few years over cars being damaged when moved around by hotel staff and I'm not prepared to take that chance. |

The parking options at Manchester are a joke at the moment and I have been having problems with multiple bookings since mid 2016 normally only getting Jeparks or Meet and Greet as parking options. I emailed them and they told me they were limiting stays at the multistory and long stay due to the T2 transformation project but they appear to also be limiting stays at T1/3 too.
However I have found that availability does tend to come up in the multistory and long stay car parks nearer the time (it has been between 12 and 6 weeks prior to departure in my experience) but I would book a parking option in the meantime just incase. I usually book Jetparks and pay for the cancellation option so I can cancel and rebook without penalty. |
