Cheap Flight - £266 per person but need to travel heathrow to Gatwick!

Just booked cheap flight next year - It wasn't clear when bookig but booked as it was a fraction of the price we where getting!

It turns out the flight is 0700-Manchester to Heathrow 8:10 in the morning... we then need to get to gatwic before our flght takes off at 11:15 in the morning!

Anyone done this or can recommend how to get between the airports - just looked and taxis are about £80 - is this the best method?

That's going to be really tight. Traffic on the M25 at that time in the morning can be a nightmare.
There is a Nat Exp coach that runs throughout the day - around £25pp.
Trains might be quicker, but even so you're looking at well over an hour, maybe up to 2 hours during rush hour.

Is it with BA? If it is wonder why they used the earlier flight rather than the one at 1pm ish.
😁

I have looked at taxi company quote 45 mins - not worried about the cost.

Is there a train did you say?

Arrive in terminal 5 heathrow - and need to be at terminal 5 gatwick...

Is it a weekday? If so you will hit alot of traffic at that time of day. We have done this before and used BAtransfer - they were very good however we had an overnight between flights. Could be very stressful especially if you have a delay on first flight. Not sure if there is an alternative though.

No there's not a direct train, it would mean taking 2 or 3 and some walking, depending on which route you chose.
So terminal 5 Heathrow to South terminal Gatwick?
Yeah 45 mins sounds about right when there's no traffic & you could be lucky if you're going on a Sat or Sun, but Mon-Fri it can be awful around Heathrow.

I've always found the approach to Heathrow from either direction to be worse though, but seeing as you're leaving Heathrow, it might not be too bad. 😊

Great flight price btw 😀

The flight prices are still coming up now - for flights to manchester to orlando its a brilliant pirce - hence why we booked it quickly -

It doesn't include checked in luggage but on the BA site its £40 a bag - so no big deal! the cheapest flights from Manchester where coming up at over £700 per person - so don't mind a bit of hassle for the saving!

Yeah direct flight prices to MCO for next summer are coming up quite expensive.
Notice in your countdown you're staying at CBR 😊

We took the compensation and stayed at CBR last year, but stayed at POR this year. We're looking forward to going back to CBR too, it looks lovely, just hoping they improve the QS lunch choices 😁
How brilliant going for 23 nights 😊

Do you know where you stand if you miss your connection as it's not being provided by BA?
