Virgin Atlantic car hire

Tom if you are there,
I’m finding it impossible to get to VAs Car Hire Page.
It keeps taking me to Car Hire Partners instead. I have a booking for next year and was wanting to check prices and rebook if needed to save some pennies.
And tips?

Hi. It was glitchy 2 weeks ago but they have fixed it now

Plus the good news is you can now book for 28 days without having to ring up - only took them 2+ years to sort that out.

Open the VA link

virginatlantic/gb/en

Click on Book, that opens up 4 options, click on Book a car.

Hiya,

Sorry if this is a daft question - I have never hired a car before but can you amend bookings with virgin easily if prices change? Ts&Cs seem to indicate a charge for this?

Hi. Virgins website is full of mistakes! But it's very clear you can cancel for no charge.

However you can't amend so if the price dropped you would have to cancel and rebook. Bit like Brits really except you can do that online.

Partnered with Alamo/National, we’re able to offer you car hire in over 280 locations within North America and Canada with award winning service

Dedicated Virgin Holidays area located at Orlando International Airport with car hire experts on hand to assist

One additional driver included as standard in our Fully Inclusive package

Receive 1000 flying club miles by simply getting your card swiped by Alamo upon arrival

No cancellation or amendment fees

24/7 roadside assistance included in all of our car hire

Op not sure if you need more than one driver, if not, check out DFCH as much cheaper than Virgin for me.

Since the change in FC membership numbers I don't have a plastic swipeable card, can you get one?

BTW thanks for the updae on Virgin 28 days bookings.

You have never needed to swipe or even present your Card from Virgin.

It automatically links when you do online check in. Plus you get doubel Miles for the booking cost. So a £600 booking gets 1000 Miles plus 1200 Miles. Pity the MBNA Card has gone as that got you 4 x the booking cost so another 2400 Miles!

As an aside why dont you get a Card? I get a new one sent every year.

I've never been sent a replacement card either. Probably because I'm a red member

On another point, whilst its not as good as the MBNA card, the Virgin money VA cards offer double miles if booking with VA so 1.5 miles per £ with the free card or 3 miles per £ for the paid card

Thanks but,
I did, and VA was cheaper, so booked there months ago. Was just rechecking price with VA and couldn’t get onto the page.
As I need the extra driver DFCH worked out dearer.
Have used VA for many years, also get VA miles added to my Flying Club account.
