Mobile Onsite car rental - yay or nay?

Hadn’t considered a car next year due to Disney charging for hotel parking but learnt today that isn’t for UK visitors until end of 2019 😄
We may therefore consider renting the smallest possible vehicle for bobbing around the parks, we are staying at CSR.
Is it still competitive onsite or are we better to look at a different pick up venue and getting an Uber?
Where would you recommend getting prices for?
Thanks

Prices for pickup at Disney are the same as picking up from the airport.

If you're staying in Disney I wouldn't bother with a car, the transport system is pretty effective unless you want to go hotel to hotel. Last time we were there we hired a car and it just sat in the car park for a week pretty much.

I can't drive for health reasons and just used the Disney transport. The days I went off site (Discovery Cove and Universal/IoA) I got an Uber. Both were fine.

We hired a car for part of our stay last year. We picked it up from the Hilton at downtown Disney. We don’t mind the buses by5 we like to be able to head offsite. So this was the best of both worlds.

The Disney Car Care Centre (Alamo) is excellent. Just ring them the day before and they'll send a mini bus.

Bev was this the Doubletree by HIlton? We have a car booked for my inlaws to pick up from Budget in December. Who did you hire with and how easy was it to pick up and drop it back as only hired from the airport before? Would have used the dccc but alamo was a lot more.

Hotel Plaza Boulevard Hilton Hotel Disney World, Lake Buena Vista

It was booked as a fly drive from British airways and was with Avis.

Pickup was fine but we had booked an SUV and they didn’t have any so we got a full sized car. They said we could go back and swap it later but we never bothered.

Thanks not sure if the doubletree is the same one but just checked and it's definitely on hotel plaza boulevard.

Thanks for all your comments, have decided to stick with no car and über/llyft for times we want to get offsite or go from park to Disney springs.
