If these are the places that are advertising in the tourist coupon books, usually located on the 192, or I Drive, avoid them at all costs!

They are all a bunch of con artists and cowboys - they lure you in with the promise of discounted brand names, but when you come to actually buy, the brand name is either not in stock, and they offer you an alternative (non-brand name) which they'll claim is just the same, or the prices will magically rise and rise. They also get very aggressive if you try and leave without buying.

There are many other places to go for gadgets, where you'll actually get what you pay for and sevice (normally) with a smile. Best Buy are Circuit City two general electronics stores, selling pretty much everything electronic. Walmart also have a reasonable range of stuff, with the advantage that you have Asda back in the UK where you can take anything back should there be a problem. Ipods are sold pretty much everywhere, but there are Apple Stores in both the florida mall and mall at Millenia.

I would also say, stay away from the 192, I-Drive electrical stores, Best buys, Circuit city and walmart. Thing with Walmart if it goes belly up when you get home then you can take it back to Asda, and they will help you.

we tend to use Best Buys for anything electrical, they have great prices and a better attitude than those on i-drive

Agreed 100%... AVOID all the ones in the little malls that line the sides of the road along the 192 and I-drive!

Your best general bets are Best Buy and Circuit City (both have stores very close to the Florida Mall) or as has been said, if WalMart stock it then buy from them (good prices and you can take back to Asda over here if it goes wrong).

If you are a Costco member you can use your UK card over there to buy anything, they have a good selection of electrical items and I'm sure if you had any probs with them you would be able to get a refund/replacement in the UK.

i bought a really good kodak camera from wal-mart, it works fine, the only problem was that the rechargable bettery ran out and when i tried to charge it on my english docking station it never charged. So if your gonna buy a camera just be careful of that!
