Booked with Disney. Can I choose flight seats?
I booked direct with Disney and we fly with Virgin. I read a lot on here about choosing seats.
Is this possible with a Disney booking? Will I need to do any form of online check-in? |

Yes. You can choose your seat. We’ve booked direct with Disney a couple of times including this year’s holiday.
You need your flight reference number/code. Disney will give you this but I think you might have had to have paid a certain amount of your holiday. |

We got our flight reference off Disney just after we'd paid the deposit. We then booked our seats with virgin ☺️

Is this just for premium seats? I've had a look through my invoice on MDE but can't find any booking reference number for Virgin (is it the disney one?). Do I need to call them?

You need to call them to get the flight reference. I emailed but it took a while for a reply. Others have phoned and got it straight away. I believe Disney always give economy seats

I got my number an am looking at the layout. A lot of seats have a diagonal line through them. Only on the flight back are there a couple of rows of 4 together. There seems to be no charge for selecting seats. Have I left it too late or will we have provisional seats together? We fly 19th Aug.
Do I need to choose seats or is there a chance we already have decent ones and me choosing will ruin this? Also is there anywhere we really don't want to sit and areas that are better? Edited at 11:04 AM. |

I'm no expert, I've only flown once before so hopefully others can advise more but...
Presuming you're flying with virgin, flight prices apart from economy light now include seat selection. The crossed out seats are either taken or for a different seat category ie economy delight if virgin. I believe the seats are allocated in the week or so before the flight so unless you have chosen seats already, you won't have seats allocated at the moment. Not much help now but you could have booked seats 6 months ago (presuming you'd booked the holiday then) Like I said, I'm no expert. I think they hold some seats back so children are sat with adults etc. Hope this helps and others can help more. Have a great holiday, not long now! |

It's a good job I though about it. I've managed to pick seats which seem fine, but only just. It's annoying I could have chosen in Jan, but then sometimes having less choice is better.
At least I've learned for next time. |
