Mobile Best treatment for chub rub.

Arrived yesterday and my teenage daughter has developed chub rub today. She was wearing shorts all day. Her skin is raw. I have bought some glide stuff to prevent more and put sudocreme on tonight. Any other recommendations for healing greatly appreciated as she is very sore. She's never had it before.

The best thing is Gold Bond Friction Defence. It soothes area affected but you also use it every day to prevent it happening again. I'm here at the moment and not had any all holiday (and I'm on the large side with no thigh gap in sight!). You can get from CVS or Walmart.

I’m not sure where you’re staying but if you’re on-site at Disney, try the hotel shop. I was able to get a travel sized container of gold bond medicated powder for a couple of dollars from the shop at the Beach Club.
A couple of ibuprofen may help with the pain and swelling. Could you perhaps find a cheap pair of leggings for her to wear underneath her shorts? If she finds that she’s sweating a lot in the Florida heat then she could pack a spare pair of leggings and underwear in a ziploc bag and change part-way through the day.
As a fellow chub rub sufferer, you both have my sympathies

I've got massive thighs from years of playing rugby and cycling which for years has always played me up with the walking and esp swimming with the wet dry shorts rubbing combo. Then rubbing to the point i can't go swimming the last few days as too sore.
I've tried many many different shorts and creams to no avail but the last 3 trips i have worn thin lycra cycling type shorts under everything when walking, swimming, meals out etc. I literally wear them 24/7 on hols (i have a few diff pairs lol).
Not had a problem since.

I found daktarin cream was the best for me when i was sore. Sudocreme i found made things worse.

Another vote for the thin lycra cycling shorts.
