Mobile Can you pay cash?

Brother is going and has been doing car boots and selling things locally to save up, what we were wondering is are you ok to go in to the trave agents and pay by cash?

Best to call before just to make sure as I'm aware some TAs on the high street have stopped or are phasing cash payments out

Definitely call first to check. There's much stricter laws now regarding money laundering so a lot of places don't take large amounts of cash. But don't worry, his bank will and he can then pay by plastic, if he has any. He will probably need plastic for the trip anyway xx

(My ex boyfriend's grandad once walked into Thomas Cook, about 28 years ago, with £15k in cash to pay for us all to go on a cruise, the poor TA nearly fell off her chair!)

Just remind your brother that there would be a better chance of getting money back if paying by credit card and Airline/ travel agent goes bust. Worth the additional protection.

Assume there’s a reason he can’t or doesn’t want it in a bank? Also if he has a package already he may have asked when paying the deposit?
