We just turned up, we had to queue for a few minutes but there’s plenty of tables so I don’t think the wait is ever that long.

The Escape Lounge is a pay-entry lounge that Virgin make available to Upper Class / Flying Club Gold customers free of charge. Anyone can pay to get into this lounge (pre-booking is recommended) which can be done via the MAN website / sites like holidayextras etc. There is also another pay-entry lounge in T2, the Aspire lounge. Both of these lounges are included in some of the lounge access passes like Priority Club & Lounge Club - and I have seen notices outside both saying no access to these club members due to lounge being at capacity, so you do need to pre-book to guarantee entry.

The V-Room is a pay-entry lounge only available to Virgin Holidays customers. I believe you have to pre-book the V-Room prior to departure directly with Virgin Holidays (if you did not choose it at the time of booking). It's popular and often sells out well in advance.

The Clubhouse, when it opens next year, will be the new lounge for Upper Class / Flying Club Gold customers. Those who have used the Heathrow or Gatwick Clubhouses will know what to expect and it will be very good indeed.

As an aside, when the Clubhouse does open it will ease a fair bit of pressure on the Escape Lounge, so it may be easier to get an advance booking than it is now.

Virgin Holidays do also occasionally sell Clubhouse access - but it's pricey - think they charge about £80pp. You have to eat & drink a lot to get close to justifying that price. Possibly one for special occasions, e.g. significant birthdays / honeymoon etc.
Thanks for all of that info! Really helpful - I know very little about all of this and it can be difficult to find out info when you don’t know what you’re looking for!
