Mobile Fit2Run

DS 11 (nearly 12) is heavily into running & cross country. He’s asked for new running shoes from Fit 2 Run as an early bday prezzie as his bday is just after we get back from WDW.

I know they have option to get on the treadmill to find out the type of shoes would suit you. Does any know if this has an age limit though & whether he’ll be allowed to do it? He’s already a size 7 adults shoe if that makes any difference.

Should be fine. But they are expensive for trainers though.

Having used fit2run here recently, i would recommend going in and using the treadmill and getting their advice, then taking some time to think about it... by that i mean taking note of the ones you try on & then looking at the price of what you like online as the ones i ended up buying from F2R were much cheaper elsewhere.

Cheers for the replies, I think I’ll get him to try & a few pairs on then have a nose online. Can always pop back in later that day & buy them then if we decide to purchase from there after all 😊

It’s definitely worth doing this closer to home (ie a running store near to you).

If there are subsequently problems with the fit and they are lightly used they’ll usually swap them for different make/model.

Plus, if your son is a serious runner a good local relationship with their advice etc can be invaluable.

The prices are quite eye watering at FTR too.

Final thing to think I about is whether his feet would be the ‘normal’ size, sometimes the hot weather and lots of walking can make a difference. So for me this would be another reason to do it at home.

Agreed - since F2R closed their store in the Florida Mall we've only ever used the store in Disney Springs for trying out new shoes on the treadmill! I am a Brooks fan and usually manage to get last season's colour of the recommended style from DSW. Last time we got some really good deals from Dick's at The Loop - again using advice from F2R.
