TC question for those who booked via WDW update: email from Disney attached

Hi all

So sorry to start another TC thread but I have read through the few I’ve seen and seen this question asked a few time but with no responses so was wondering if any one could help

We booked our July 2020 holiday last month on the Walt Disney World website, we wanted direct flights and TC were the only option and had great times and a decent price so we went for it.

So what happens if the worst was too happen regarding new flights? Could Disney give us options as we booked the package? Or do we have to find new flights ourselves but how does that work when it was a package with Disney? My head is spinning.

I’ve paid the £450 deposit on my credit card.

Thank you for any responses.

What a sad time for the employers and current holiday makers

Thank you for your reply. This is my bad luck it’s happened to me twice before with WDW holidays but we still got there in the end.

I hope for the poor souls on holiday now and those leaving very soon that they get a some decent help

Have you actually asked Disney? Everyone on here is just a punter like you and can't possibly be expected to know the answers to this question and many others asked on other threads. I actually think the threads are dangerous as none of them are factual. They're all just supposition and speculation. What will happen if people make decisions based on answers they're being given and those answers turn out to be wrong and they lose money as a result?

I would’ve thought that Disney will just find you another flight But I would just ring and ask them

As you bought from Disney it would be up to them to get you new flights. Your contract is with Disney not TC. It is Disney who would have to deal with TC. Disney in this case are acting as a travel agent selling a complete package with the usual ABTA cover.
This is where some people come unstuck as some 3rd party agents sell the parts seperately to save the customers some money but don't actually tell them this and therefore the customers find out that they are not protected as they thought when things for wrong.

Well actually I was hoping someone who’d been in contact with Disney would have been able to come along but thanks for the reply anyway. I haven’t been able to phone due to work commitments and made this thread on my tea break. My fault for not stating that part eh.

Such a friendly forum
