Sorry to jump on this thread. We’re considering the Tangerine, but can’t work out where the parking is - looking at it there are only a few spaces at the front. Do you park on the road?

There are a few spaces at the front but there is additional parking round the back. There is a little road next to the hotel (to the right if you're looking front on) and you turn left straight after the hotel where you will find a strip of parking spaces. There aren't loads, possibly an extra 10 out back but we never had a problem.

We're staying across the road from there soon . Can I ask which shop did you walk to?

We got some supplies from the petrol station a few doors up from The Tangerine. We also got take-out from Chipotle and Subway over the road and we got Uber to drop us off at Big Boy Burger and we walked back from there late at night with no concerns about our safety.

Thanks, I saw there are a Chipotle and a Subway nearby but hadn't thought of visiting the petrol station. Hopefully we will find a supermarket that is easy to get to as well.

Burbank has Target, Walmart, a huge mall and an In n Out burger 😋. Not walking distance I suppose but it would be a cheap Uber/Lyft away if you want an evening out. There’s also gas stations around, a CVS and a lot of restaurant along Riverside Dr that are walking distance and a Trader Joe’s supermarket. Burbank is a lovely, safe area. A very clean, middle class community and you can explore and walk about without issue.

Stayed at The Garland in June and it was a great hotel. Has lovely outdoor areas and it has a real laid back feel.

They supply a bus foc to get to Universal. We went there just to eat on a few evenings.

Uber is brilliant in the States. It worked really well for us.

We’ve booked the Garland for upcoming trip really like the retro vibe! Didn’t know they had a shuttle - bonus!

We're back from our trip. We stayed in the Best Western Media Center Inn right across the road from the Tangerine.

It was a good location and we found a Vons supermarket just 6 minutes walk away. The area felt safe when walking around.

I liked our hotel as it had interior corridors and underground, free parking and the breakfasts were OK with a couple of hot items and a waffle maker as well as cereal and muffins etc.

We drove to Universal but walked to Warner Bros Tour.

We stayed at the Garland six years ago and will probably book it again when we go next year.
