Mobile Decent price?

Have a quote of £493 for 15 nights car hire with alamo from Tampa via virgin holidays. Opinions on the price please. Everywhere else is around £400 more but of course I can't cancel with Virgin. Should I go for it...

Depends on how big the car and the dates you have the car for

That’s a good price I’d try Andy on here to see if he can do better

Check the various T’s & C’s throughly with regards to cancellation, at one point it did used to be free cancellation.
Still says this on the USA car hire page ‘No cancellation or
amendment fees’

Unfortunately my Alamo packages all have a peak season surcharge for dates that start on and between 1st July to 15th August so Alamo are crazy expensive... Thanks for the mention though.

Virgin are currently half the price of DFCH, Alamo Brits and Auto Europe for my dates in July/August.

Also check your times/dates e.g. if collecting at 3pm on day 1 then drop it back before 3pm on the last day or you run into another day’s charge.

Unless they have changed recently Virgin give you a 2 hour grace period to return it late. Not that I have ever done it.
Otherwise it tends to be 29 minutes with most suppliers albeit they say 30 mins but that's chancing it.

Thanks folks, decided to go for it. Seems pretty reasonable compared to what we've seen elsewhere.
