Taxi or Uber
Always had a car when we have been before, but not this time😕 only doing Disney but i do like to do a little shopping😉 can you still get a taxi from the front desk at your hotel, what sort of prices do they charge ? Would want to go to walmart and one of the outlets.

As far as I am aware you can still ask them to request one, some hotels have taxi's waiting.
We personally use Uber, so we just go to the reception of the hotel and request one through there app. Last year at cabana bay we only ever waited a few minutes (and sometimes one would be waiting in the front of the hotel. We liked uber as it gives you an estimate of the price and it always was correct, they often offered you water, or to turn the aircon up/down etc. Whereas we found Mears drivers extremely rude, wouldn't even wait for daughter to have her seat belt on, wouldn't talk, would answer their phones etc.

I have taken a taxi once from WDW. You get the next taxi in the queue. Mine managed to take an extra long trip to the airport ($70. fee) and then steal my debit card number.
I have used Uber a good deal and never had a problem. I like that no money is exchanged. |

I have used Uber all over the US and agree it's cheaper and every driver I have had has been lovely. The Florida cab and Mears drivers tend to be retired ex NYC cabbies ... and it shows !

We found Uber excellent, never waited more than about 5 mins, often only 2 or 3.
The only warning I have is about mobile data. If you are using free wifi it is fine but once that drops out you may need to use your mobile data which costs a small fortune if you haven't sorted something with you phone provider first. I only had to use my data 3 times in 2 weeks & twice was at Epcot. I will definitely be using uber again on my next visit.
