Avis - good service

Evening all,

Before heading to Orlando last month, I read nothing but bad reports on Avis. We booked using BA Avios and I am a preferred member.

Have to say we had great service! No long wait at the garage,2 free drivers added on no bother and baby car seat in great condition fitted by the manager with no issues.
Smooth check in on the way home and most importantly,no extra charges on my credit card when I got home!
All in all,a great service and I would use again!

Thankyou for the post, we are using Avis for the first time in a few days, also booked through BA.
I have also joined Avis Preferred, I e-mailed them last week to check my reservation and that I could bypass the desk in the terminal and go straight to the garage. They replied within 24 hours.

Did you pay the admin fee for the tolls or pay cash?

I always support the big three. Alamo, Avis and Hertz.
You won't go far wrong with any of them
Avis had some issues recently but it was more with reference to BA not paying Avis in a timely fashion and over zealous desk clerks upselling.

We just paid the tolls as we only went passed them once on the way to the villa and then once on the way to the airport so wasn't worth it for us!
The first toll gives change so we knew we didn't have to worry about the coin only 1.
