Car on the Drive

This facility has been mentioned in other threads and I am very tempted even though it means a delay in securing a flight. Problem is we travel in July next year and they will not give me a quote now - too early, they say. It is not clear when they will give me a quote.

So, is it going to compare with a flydrive booked now or will I end up paying a large premium buying flights and car hire separately? Happy to pay a little more for convenience but if anyone has any experience of this operation I'd be grateful for their advice.

No way would I wait for a quote off anybody. Why not book a flight and car separately?
If you want a rough idea ref hire prices for your dates Virgin have them as a stand alone hire

You will pay more using Car on the Drive than by booking a flydrive or even flight and car hire separately. I have used them in the past and would definitely use them again. They might be more expensive but the convenience of not having to drive from the airport or picking up the car elsewhere is worth it for us.

We have had guests use them and they thought they were excellent, but strange they will not give you a quote

Last we all heard the owner did post when questioned about costs; when I asked some questions he/she failed to reply although saying they would answer any questions.
Speaks volumes espacially in comparison to Andy at DFCH who although I have never used replies to virtually all questions re his buisness and others that in theory could cost him buisness.

I understand the reasons people use just can't get my head around mark up for basically a taxi ride.
As always each to own.

We used Car on the Drive for the first time we drove in Florida, for a subsequent visit we picked up the hire care from the Swan or Dolphin (can't remember which one). Yes it's very convenient but you will have to pay for it in increased cost compared to fly drive price.

we used them once and wouldnt use them again. we waited at the airport for more than an hour to be collected. by that time we could have had car hire and drove to our villa.
