Hi a couple for us,
Driving in the Lamar valley , Yellowstone, and coming upon a heard of about 800 bison.
On a whale watching trip of Monterey, we where finished and on our way in to port when a humpback came 20 yards from the boat, it was bigger than the boat we were in.

We have been very lucky on our numerous trips some stand out moments
A sea turtle swimming underneath our little locally hired glass bottom boat on our Honeymoon in Kenya
A sea turtle just hatched on Patara beach in Turkey
A Ba mitzvah celebration at the wailing wall
Colonel Gadafis enterage leaving the Pyramids- we had to wait on the bus while he left !
Also The Meter Turkish Army band ( not sure of the spelling ) one of the oldest in the world in their full moustached glory playing outside the Dombache Palace in Istanbul

Hope it won’t be much longer until we can have some more magical moments

At a hotel on the Cancun strip. We'd been stalking and helping the hotel's lifeguard digging up turtle nests so the eggs could be buried in a safe place. On our very last morning he let us watch him digging up a hatched nest (so he could put the baby turtlets safe before releasing at night) They count the eggs buried so they can account for all the babies when they hatch and even helped one finish getting out of the egg. That was totally unexpected and wonderful. It was a pity we couldn't see them being released into the sea.

We were in Cancun 5 years ago, the hotel collected all of the little turtles that were found in the morning in boxes to release in the dark. they let about 20 of us let them go into the sea at night. it was an amazing sight.

Helping to dig an overnight turtle nest to make sure the turtles eggs were buried properly in the sand on a random walk up to the beach cafe on Anna Maria Island

Seeing Manatees at a random inlet on the same trip

Seeing deer outside our window whilst on holiday skiing in Canada.

Seeing a bald eagle whilst driving from Madison to Duluth - poor DH was asleep!

Seeing birds at Kennedy Space Center in 2002. Vultures in the rough grass area behind the cafe and a red cardinal near an outside picnic area.

Weddings !
In New Delhi at our hotel we saw the first evening of 3 of a Hindu wedding. The ‘host’ invited us to join in. The groom arrived on a large white horse and the bride was under an awning with her close female relatives. It was so colourful, noisy and smelt of spices and incense. An amazing sight.

In Japan outside a Buddhist temple, a young couple were having photos taken. Such a serene setting compared to the Delhi wedding !
