I’ve booked them too, KLM Virgin flights 6 adults 20 Aug - 03 Sep 2020 Man - Mco direct £2400. Hand luggage only and will need to add a few cases during online check in. I booked via Last Minute. For an extra £18 each I opted for a ‘cancellation’ option which gets you a last minute.com voucher for 90 % of purchase price if needed. My thinking was it may offer a bit more comfort than a KLM rebooking only alternative in terms of expiry date / destinations.

If I book light(only hand luggage) with KLM can I book a checked case in both ways and if so what would the cost be ?

Something doesn't quite add up with these flights. Adding a bag to my chosen dates takes the price up by £550 per person and the same flight on KLM's site is almost double the price.

Hope all goes well with your bookings but don't think I can commit to it.

Edited at 12:55 PM.

I’ve booked no luggage. Flight showing on KLM system within an hour. Says we have 10 kg and 2 kg hand luggage. Also says we will be able to add checked baggage at online check in. KLM charges €50 euro per bag 23 kg (checked) each way if booked online. I think we will pay KLM rather than virgin checked baggage prices. I suppose in theory it will depend on availability. That’s how I understand it, but can’t say I’m an expert.

spoke with Dialaflight and confirmed I can add bags at £60 per bag for both flights on checkin. So £2300 for 5 people direct from manchester in August to me is a brilliant price!

Cannot wait now!

For anyone who booked these, I’ve managed to log on to virgin with the reference provided by broker. Our booking is classed as economy classic, I’ve reserved seats there and back at no cost and for classic, a 23 kg allowance is included. Can’t quite believe it... I just hope we get to travel...
