Some major construction immediately behind Beach Club Villas
Been here all week. Just moving to BLT and loading at the back of the car park. Knew there was some construction on Epcot Resorts Boulevard but had no idea they were building a new bridge right behind BCV. People are in these rooms I think as there are Xmas lights on some balconys. Wouldn’t be happy! Not impacted us at all though (we had a courtyard view) and would only impact if on this section, facing Epcot.
We had a superb stay at BCV, nothing to fault.

Mmm. I know we had to go a different way to get to the Yacht when we were there in Nov. So I suspect it's this work and that it's still ongoing.
Wonder what they need a new bridge for? Not good for those who have those rooms.

Epcot resort Blvd is still closed past the Boardwalk, you cant loop round to Yacht/ beach
I wonder if this is to do with the Mary Poppins thing in UK, as that must be very close to the back of Beach?

That's awful!
Those rooms should have been taken out of service when work started. Gone are the days when guest experience was prioritised |

I’m guessing but it looks like they are re routing Epcot resorts Blvd closer to the back of Beach Club Villas, to give more room at Epcot- Gavvy’s guess may be a good one.
Just had a very bad experience at BLT (which we love), will report back on that in the next few days, I’m fuming. |

Any idea on how long these works will be taking place?
We're looking at going to BCV in August but don't want to visit a construction site

It’s only behind that one section of DVC. No idea when done. I would be concerned though the road could then be closer, but it may be a service road or something. Knowing this I’d put in one request, which would be ‘pool or courtyard view’. Giving both options and not even selecting a floor should give you a good chance of being away from it and not even noticing. I had seen the top of a crane when entering the resort but had no idea this was going on until I checked out, so it’s definitely not impacting the rest of the resort.
