Yes we have bands already active on MDE so I'd like to think we'd be able to just do this? I suppose just wait & see what they decide about free dining

Yes but I do like having options and we already have a few nights off site so this could keep my dream alive

Same here! We're supposed to be doing 7 nights at POR then 7 nights offsite, but are quite happy just staying offsite the whole time if we need to. I've just been on the Disney website and you can just buy tickets for 2021, so I don't really see why they wouldn't allow us to amend 2020 bookings cancelling the room but keeping the tickets. I hope so anyway!

I will be very surprised if they allow you to do that. I've been the last two years. The hotel and tickets are sold as a package and there are no actual tickets. The magic bands which are handed over at check in act as tickets.

I know when you're booking a room they do, but they've always allowed people to just purchase tickets from them so I don't see why not?

I cant see why not but if they did have a problem maybe a night in their cheapest hotel would be a cheap option to resolve any issue and keep your booked tickets 😉

I kniw but did you book a room and tickets together or just tickets? If you booked a room and tickets together you booked the package. However there is no harm in you asking them if you think they might allow it.

Room & tickets but on the invoice they're separate so was hoping they could maybe amend the hotel part. But honestly I'd rather stay onsite anyway so I just hope they end up offering some money off in place of the dining plan. My family won't be able to afford it otherwise & we'd have to cancel so I'm just trying to think of any possible option right now!

I don't blame you, I'd be doing the same. It's different for me, I've only got myself to worry about.

I really can’t see them offering any money off. Terms and conditions say that they can make these changes without refund etc. They haven’t offered any discount to Americans on existing bookings so doubt they will for us
