Uncertainty travel requirements
Hi all,
Growing increasingly concerned about the new proposed travel rules for Scotland. After the announcement that Sturgeon would reverse and align with the UK, I cannot work out what's required. We fly to Tenerife from Glasgow on 10th October. 2 adults - fully vaccinated 1 13 year old - not vaccinated 1 infant and 1 4 year old I think it's the following, Adults - no pre departure tests Teenager - PCR test for fit to fly Kids - no pre departure tests Flying back to Scotland: Do vacinnated adults no longer need any tests? The unvaccinated teenager, can she do a lateral flow to fly home, and does she also need a day 2 and day 8 PCR tests as well as a 10 quarantine? Thanks in advance. Nothing from Jet 2 and the government don't know their ≈≈≈≈ from their elbow.

I’m not sure the rules going out are set yet, assuming you are going to USA. Rules on uk gov website for returning have now been updated. I am returning from Iceland on 1st nov and have read as following:
Forms to fill in per person before return including references to prove you have purchased lateral flow tests for day two back in the uk. Day two test back in the uk which can be taken between return day and day two (not sure if there is a age limit for your younger kids not to need this. we are double vac, our dd who may not have been offered her one dose before we go does not need to do pre departure to uk test, day 8 or quarantine as under 18s are treated as adults who are double vac. |

It looks like you’ve booked with Jet2 however TUI have a great easy to read guide on their site.
tui/destinations/i...y-requirements There’s entry requirements into the country you’re travelling to and entry requirements when travelling back to England/Scotland/Ireland. Hopefully this helps!

The teen needs a PCR to travel to Tenerife. The 3 of you (2 adults and teen) will need a day 2 test as it stands.

Any Dibbers currently in Tenerife ? Are you getting any fallout from the volcanic activity on La Palma ? I had read that due to a change of wind direction some ash had fallen in the North of Tenerife but I cant find this report again so thought it better to ask for information from anyone who is there or has returned in last day or so.

The actual rules have not been formally released by the Scottish Government yet so no-one knows for certain. What we do know is that no testing coming back for double vaccinated passengers. Its assumed the day 2 and return to UK test requirements for nom-vaccinated passengers will be the same as for England.

Thanks Laura, that link for TUI allows you to download 2 PDFs and it's clear from there. Thanks again.

Gran Canaria should be OK as it it twice the distance away from La Palma as Tenerife is - in fact Tenerife is smack in the middle between La Palma and Gran Canaria. I'll keep reading local news for Tenerife to see what happens.
