I’ve done it! I’ve booked!…but it’s a weird one.

I’ve been looking for ages and the prices have been crazy compared to what we are used to paying.

So here’s what we’ve booked.

Heathrow to Miami direct - 27th July.

1 weeks car hire through virgin picking up at Miami airport.

We head to Vero Beach resort for 2 nights.

Then on to Bahama Bay for the rest of the vacay.

After a week we drop the car to Alamo in WDW.

Catch an Uber to Hard Rock Hotel and pick up car 2…a people carrier.

On 26th august we come home from Tampa, indirect.

The flights and hard rock people carrier are a BA fly drive package at £3150.

The additional car with virgin was £340.

So total for flights and cars - £3500.

About £500 more than I wanted to pay, and a bit of messing around, but hey-ho. We’re going.

Doesn’t sound weird to me at all , more like a standard holiday for us.
DVC is a bit away from Vero itself but well worth going into Vero proper.

I think that sounds a great trip.
In fact you got me thinking about our July/August trip and a little stop off in Vero Beach …
Seems a reasonable price too compared to what I’ve been seeing.

That sounds really well thought out. I certainly wouldn’t call it weird.

That is for 2 x adults or 3 of you?

Think lots are having to tweak what they’d normally plan to do.

We’ve got three days at Vero Beach in a 1 bed, I can’t wait! First time staying there, we’ve only visited before.

Also used the car hire loop but at Royal Pacific for us, we’re staying there so works perfectly.

We’re flying direct into Miami, staying the night in Fort Pierce then heading up to universal early. Ten days there before we head to Vero Beach, then a week onboard Wish. Back down to Miami and home.

I think there are a few locations with decent car hire deals, as Port Canaveral - Miami wasn’t to bad either.

Had to take a people carrier from Royal Pacific as it was 1/3 of the cost of everything else, but we don’t care what we have at that price.

It’ll be interesting to see what happens with all the people carrier bookings, I bet quite a few of us will end up with other cars due to stock levels.

Sounds great to me, we are flying into mco but going to pick the car up at cabana bay after a few days. Save on the parking and the high costs from mco.
Then we are flying out of Mia, so going to stop off at vero on the way down.
I actually prefer doing things like this and means we get to see places we wouldn’t normally if just going from mco.
We saved quite a bit too, bonus.
