Location and hotel recommendation

We are looking at the possibility of a (relatively) cheap and cheerful Feb half term break. I want advice for a hotel / location where we can walk out to restaurants as we won’t be driving. We’re happy to Uber in the day time if we decide to add on a day or so at parks, but of an evening we would want to walk for tea. I was thinking of iDrive but don’t know enough to select a decent hotel in a good spot. We stopped onsite at Disney last time we visited in 2018. Thanks!

Any of the Rosen chain of hotels on idrive are cheap and cheerful and are ok. Close to a lot of restaurants on idrive.
I like the Doubletree tower rooms At the bottom end of idrive, either cheap Uber up to pointe Orlando or the itrolly which stops outside. There is also a couple of restaurants opposite I think and walkable to SeaWorld if you plan on going there.

Rosen Plaza on iDrive or for a slightly cheaper option the Rosen Inn at Pointe Orlando.
We prefer Rosen Plaza as it's more hotel with internal corridors and the other is motel style with walkways outside rooms. Both close to restaurants

Rosen (formerly the clariion) on Palm Parkway LBV has a shuttle to disney & a lynx bus stop outside

nearby walkable to numerous eateries, you could walk to disney springs

uber to disney or universal was $12-$15 on our last visit

we prefer this 'leafy' area to I drive
