Universal endless dockside vs surfside ?

Can anyone tell me if they have a preference over universal dockside or universal surfside or whats the difference please ?

I haven�t stayed at either yet but we�ve booked a few days at Dockside for August. I chose it over surfside as based on YouTube videos, I liked the theming better and it seems smaller and more homely

When we booked for our 2020 trip (cancelled) we chose surfside. At the time dockside wasn't open and we preferred the location in I drive, just to cross the road to Walgreens, easier access to the I trolley etc. If I remember correctly 🤔
If we were rebooking the only thing that puts me off is the pool.

They were built to be sister resorts so are practically identical for room layout/style and amenities. Dockside is bigger (two towers) and has two pools, that's the main difference I can think of.

Right across the street from each other as well, so no huge location difference. I would give a very slight edge to Surfside since most things you'd probably want to walk to are on that side so it's one less road to cross. But not much in it.

Go with whichever theme you prefer, or the cheaper of the two.

We stayed at surfside Feb 2020 really nice hotel, couldn't fault it. Saw dockside but it was still being built across the road. Both are near walgreens and there was a Wendy's nearby. We used their shuttle buses for the parks and then our hire car in the afternoon to go shopping.
