TUI - Sanford Airport
We’re just looking for next year and TUI have some good deals at the moment however we know they fly to Sanford. What’s your experience of Sanford as when we have flown we have gone straight to Orlando?

We love Sanford, yes its small but it does the job, immigration and collecting bags is usually about 30 mins. Its longer to Disney and I drive but the time made up getting out the airport makes up for it. We got an UBER was 60 dollars to Disney. We personally wouldn't fly to MCO, done it a few times and found it stressful. Just a personal thing as I know others prefer MCO.The lounge at Sanford is very nice, and there is also an outdoor smoking deck if you have people in your party who smoke.

I second that, Sanford would always be my preference given the choice, I've never spent more than 30 minutes total getting through immigration and baggage but have often spent in excess of 2 hours getting through MCO (almost 4 hours this April)

Sanford is fine, unless you are staying onsite and don't have a car, then you are much better at Orlando for Magical Express.

Our experience getting through security at Sandford in 2016 was 1.5hrs same time as few years previous at MCO so you never know, we must have been unlucky Have to say though we were only 5 mins at the Thompson desk getting all our info

We have used it a couple of times and found it fine, the only thing I can think of is that if it rains the car parks aren't covered but that's all

Sanford is good, we liked it. Small, easy to navigate and fast. MCO was a nightmare.

Took us 2 and half hours to get through immigration at Sanford last year.
I thought it was quite poor the immigration hall was very dated extremely hot with no a/c. Coming back the departure lounge didn’t really have much choice and what they did have was very expensive and nothing special. I think Punta Cana airport in Dominican Republic is better and that’s basically a hut but atleast it had decent food offerings from wendy’s Or Pizza Hut etc. Edited at 03:21 PM. |
