Shark Hoovers
We are looking to purchase a new Hoover and I’ve heard a lot of good things about the shark ones.
I’m really looking for advice on the different models and why you’ve chosen them/would recommend them. Obviously I’ve read the product descriptions etc, and had good reviews from some neighbours but my goodness there’s a lot of models to chose from! They’ve got offers on at the moment but there’s some available for £400+ …I’d want someone to push it around as well for that! I went on the shark site and did their quiz to chose a model and it recommended one suitable for pets as well… we don’t have any and I put this down!?!?! What Shark Hoover do you have? Why did you chose it. Does the anti hair thing work? Do you have cordless or not? If so do you feel the function is any less because of it? Looking forward to your answers |

We have the cordless plus the Duoclean Anti Hairwrap Pet lift away corded. We do have cats.
The cordless is great but it has far less suction than the corded so we use the cordless for daily flickovers and the corded for a more thorough hoover round. The corded I find heavy to move about, but I like the lift away for the stairs. I also find the corded one a bit top heavy and falls over if using the hose with attachments. Plus the bit on the handle that is supposed to hold the cord out of the way is useless. They wouldn’t put me off, just annoying. It is a good Hoover. |

We have the non pet one, as that wasn’t an option when we bought ours.
Quiet, excellent suction and yes, messier to take apart to clean the dog hair out lol. Much better than the days on we had before Next time will also be a Shark, but a pet friendly one lol

I had a Dyson, swapped to a cordless shark and went back to a Dyson,
The shark was fine at first , then began to lose suction ( i know others with the exact same issue ), and it was forever blocked up by our labradors hair. So glad we’ve gone back to a Dyson. |

We have a corded lift away, and a handheld. Both are great - would not go back to a Dyson now. The filters do need cleaning quite regularly, or they do lose suction. 😀

I'm glad others have mentioned that the Shark topples over easily!
I do like the Shark, the adjustable suction power thing is good - I have to reduce it on the thicker carpets as I just can't push it! I also like the little light at the front as it shows you the bits you might have missed I thought the Dyson was the be all and end all, but after giving them enough chances (machines that broke), I'm glad I made the switch.
