Me and my 2 boys are staying there for 2wks next May on recommendations from colleagues at work who have been on multiple occasions... Location, location, location. We are doing things on a budget and not doing Disney, only Universal, DC, Seaworld etc so it's perfect for us... You are always going to get bad reviews but as far as I am concerned out of 9514 reviews on Trip Advisor 3718 are Excellent, 3750 are Very Good and only 316 are Terrible and 370 Poor... That's a ratio that I would definately book at. On booking.com it's rated 8 and very good. As people have said, it's a bed for the night. The more and more you read reviews the more you will doubt things... Don't, its reputation is a very good budget hotel, its not the Ritz which is why you ain't paying Ritz prices lol. I won't change my booking😁😁

We didn’t go into breakfast at all sorry.
There’s a Starbucks and a shop with a place you can order food and we used to get something from one of those and take it out by the pool. It was usually just coffee a muffin or a croissant.

I would also say The Rosen Plaza is a lot higher up on Trip Advisor... However it has only had 2900 reviews and still has 124 terrible reviews and 137 Poor so pro rata it's probably worse than Pointe but hey I've never stayed in either so what do I know lol. I just feel that people will find faults wherever they stay even if its best hotel in world.

We have stayed at the Rosen at Pointe every time since we first went in 2012 (so 6 or 7 times) and always found it ok. Its handy for everything, i feel safe walking around there early in the morning or late at night, the buffet breakfast that was included with Virgin was fine, hated the coffee but it was too strong, loved the little shops for groceries and starbucks. Never used the pools as we are out first thing and late back.
Only thing we had was sometimes kids would be running around outside in the open corridors but that was the only issue. All the staff were friendly and helpful. I've not seen the bad reviews but we'd consider going back there or another rosen if we do another offside stay. |

We have stayed 3x but literally just use it as a base, the last time we stayed we only paid £35pn so can't complain, though it was our worst time there. If I wanted to use the pools a lot or spend more time there it would be a no...its absolutely full of brits (yes we are brits but I still find it a negative for some reason lol) drinking around the pools being quite rowdy. Also had problems with kids running up and down the corridors constantly. If we wanted another budget trip we would probably stay again though, the location and price is fab.

Bargain hotel, fantastic location. Especially if you're not hiring a car.
Our only complaints were the air con in the room was very noisy - but the room was cool! And the pools... because I4 is right behind it, it is never relaxing because of the noise. People noise is fine - it's people enjoying their holiday isn't it! For just a few Dollars more, the Rosen Plaza and Rosen Centre are more or less next door. These are much more conference hotels than motel style that is Pointe Orlando. Really depends what you're looking for. If it's for collapsing at the end of a tiring day... it's just great. We now stay at Rosen Shingle Creek and Uber everywhere.

We went there 2012 our first visit, RI@PO. Hired a car. Had a great time. Oh yeah its a basic standard layout (2 queens) room... but lets be honest, how much time are you actually gonna be hanging out in the room. If you are - its not for you... get a full condo or a villa... But you will be in the parks, shopping or at the pools or a short walk to 100 eating places. No complaints, only praise for RI@PO
