Sandy Ridge or town centre - reserve villa...
sorry for all the questions, we will be split staying with Disney onsite.
Just wondered if anyone knows what the 2 areas are like. We will still visit Disney whilst at the villa but also go to I drive. possibly universal if it can be budgeted for haha. |

I've been to Sandy Ridge and it's lovely. At the back of our pool area it was wild and we weren't overlooked and it was perfect to be honest.
Just down the road is a supermarket and a parade of shops with the likes of Papa John's on it and it's great for takeout. I'd definitely go back.

Both are close to each other and both are ok areas, you have a small shopping complex close by with a Publix supermarket and some fast food outlets, there is a Walmart at the top of Lake Wilson road near the junction of the 192 and Champions Gate and all the eateries there only a short drive away.

We stayed on the Town Centre Reserve on our last trip in 2017. It was just a bit too far out for us as we often got caught in traffic.
The area itself was fine. We stayed on a cul-de-sac at the back of the resort and it was very peaceful. Saw lots of wildlife, including wild pigs and raccoons wandering around the estate! |

We always stay in Sandy Ridge and love the location. As others have said, very handy for supermarkets, take out and restaurants (champions gate). Very hand for I4 and lake wilson road. 20 mins and we are in the disney transportation car park.
Nice feel to the community, mix of holiday and full time residencies. Pleasant to walk around and very safe. |

We really liked Town Center. We didn’t have any commute issues and it was very peaceful. Lots of wildlife of the non human variety!
