Which Yosemite location?

Hey dibbers,

We are looking to book our accommodation for 2 nights in Yosemite and we want to know which one you guys would recommend?

Choices are:

Yosemite View Lodge £250
Wawona £190
Cedar lodge £250
Scenic wonders £280

Breakfast is included in the price at the Wawona but the bathrooms and showers are shared and are outside!

Thanks xo.

How about staying in a wooden cabin with a private bathroom in Stonemason House in Curry Village then you will be in the valley. They have one available for your dates for approx £263. We are staying in a wooden cabin but without a bathroom on Aug 25 for 2 nights because of the great location.

We have opted for the Yosemite View Lodge after a LOT of research! I have read good reviews and been recommended by people I know also. Its only a 5 minute drive from one of the entrances which is a huge bonus for us!

I wouldn't be keen on sharing a bathroom. I could grin and bare it for one night maybe at a push but not two.

We stayed at the lodge within the park. You opened the room door and there were the falls pouring down the mountainside. (Note they don't run all year). A breath taking view. We had raccoons wandering around at the front and little deer at the back.

Yosemite view lodge is outside the park (yes 5 minutes from entrance) but still a reasonable drive to the valley etc.
Have you looked at Yosemite lodge at the falls ?

Yosemite Lodge at the Falls isn't available for OP's dates. Only Curry Village, Housekeeping Camp, Wawona & Ahwahnee are available in the Park.

This one looks to be the most favourable but I was worried as it is outside the park, I wasn't sure if that would cause too many long journeys!

Yeah that was the one we wanted but with us going over labour day weekend they were full before we booked flights

Thank you! I will definitely have a look at the lodge option I think it would be nice to stay in the park if possible.

Thanks glad to know you have been recommended it as well, I was just worried about it being outside the park but it doesn't seem to be too far of a drive yeh they are outside as well so if you need the loo in the night it would be a quick run in the dark haha!

I didn't realise you got lodges in curry I just thought they were big tents so that's definitely an option! My bf rob was keen for a lodge as well so we will need to have another look tonight and get it booked!,

Thanks to all for input it's much appreciated because for some reason I'm totally confused when it comes to Yosemite!
